searchable Korean maps and Firefox
It was last January when I remarked that Freemap seemed to be the only Korean map search service which worked with Firefox. Well, since the site revamp, not any more. Not that I'd refuse using IE, but I'd just like the Korean site designers to be more inclusive. And for some reason, Freemap doesn't do well with IE either, but Empas does, and it also gives these nice little aerial photographs of the search locations (블루맵 button in the screen). 99%+ of Korea's dynamic web pages rely on ActiveX, which is a Microsoft, Windows-only thing. Korean developpers have yet to learn about other platforms, and don't care, as IE/Win's market share is way up there in Korea...

Thanks for the info about the empas map photo feature - my area doesn't show up in detail on google earth, so it was pretty neat to see where i live from high above. Almost as neat was that it was taken 5 or so years ago, and some of the changes really stand out.
